Hi all!
I am confused about whether to exchange my current Nokia 6610 with the T68i. Im very impressed by the Bluetooth headset. I need some clarifications. How about the battery life of the 2 phones.Which lasts longer?I have at the moment disabled my 6610 wallpaper as it guzzles a lot of battery. Is the T68i battery better even with wallpaper on? Secondly, what about the screen brightness between the 2 phones? Also, I wanted to know whether the Bluetooth headsets HBH-30 and HBH-60 will be compatible with the new T610 or are they to be used only with the T68i? Also what about the software stability between the 6610 and the T68i? My mother is in Germany. I was thinking about asking her to get me a Bluetooth headset from there. I live in India. Do yu think it would be too expensive there? Please advise!
thanx a Zillion~~~

I have the Nokia 6610, T68i, and T300. I find the 6610 actually has slightly better battery life, cause all phones need to be charged every 4-5 days, but with the 6610 I also play some Java games and I use the speakerphone.
Does using a wallpaper really use up the battery on the 6610? I never noticed any difference. I use a wallpaper on all three phones, but I don't use a screen saver (animated GIF) on the SE phones. The Nokia's back light turns off after 15 seconds and change to the clock after a user customizable period of time, while the SE phones' back lights turn off after 30 seconds, and changes to the clock after another 30 seconds.
Differences featurewise...
T68i = Bluetooth, IrDA send/receive, SyncML, picture caller ID
6610 = FM radio, changeable covers, Java, speakerphone, 4-note polyphonic ringtones
6610 doesn't have IrDA send/receive, but with MobiMB, you can manage the phone's memory using a computer, and it's very easy to use.

I have a T68i, and have a friend who's got a 6610
When I first saw the 6610's screen quality, I wanted to throw my T68i away! Nokia = about 4100 colours; T68i = 256 colours.
BUT, then I remembered the bluetooth and email features on the T68i, among others, that the 6610 doesn't have. So now I prefer my T68i.
But if I had a 6610 I would still be happy. It's up to you, it depends what features you need or don't need. |

The T68i reception is pretty good, at least on the "standard" GSM frequencies used in most part of the world (900Mhz and 1800Mhz). In fact I find that the T68 has better reception than quite a few of my other GSM phones had (but the T39 was a little better though)
There seems to be worse reception on the 1900Mhz band though (which is used in the US). That is why almost all complains about reception comes from US T68 users. |

In our country the prices of nokia phones are getting cheaper. Thats why i dont like buying nokia phones. And another reason is that major features of nokia are separated one nokia phone to the other nokia phone

Well i am new to T68I,need some help here,I just want to know how to delete the web address that i had key and what is the purpose of the 10minutes under the infrared port selection? |

The purpose of the 10 minutes of IR port activation is so the IR port doesn't stay on all of the time, only for 10 minutes so you can receive a few items. I find that leaving the IR port on constantly DRAMATICALLY effects battery power. When I first got my T68i the IR port was on constantly = battery power lasting 2-3 days. Now with the port off it lasts 5-6 days before I need to charge.
Can't help you with the web addresses. |
