does anyone know were i can download java games / appz to T610? the ones that i had on my nokia 6610 / 7210 doesnt work on t610.

Guess you´ll have to wait until they port the games for t610.
I have a lot of Siemens and Nokia games and they are not compatible.. too bad really, but i guess if they were universal they´d be twice the size as well.

I don't get this. Isn't the main point with Java that one and the same App should work on any machine
supporting Java ? Seems worthless otherwise.

Theoretically yes, but i guess it is a question of how big they can make the apps for mobile phones considering the very limited space..
I suppose it´s possible (i am by no means a programmer) to make a game that contains all possible variables like screen size, resolution and button/key mapping and so on but i think that would make the games unacceptably large.
Please correct me if i am out on a limb here, it´s just my theory!

But then what is the point to run anything in Java at all. If you need different binaries for different phones then you could as well write it in e.g. C++ and compile
it to native code. It would be more efficient.
