I simply don't understand why backing up of the P800 cannot be done via Bluetooth but is only restricted to do syncing, file transfer, etc... but not backing up and restoring.

Just doesn't make sense... bluetooth is talking about removal of the wires, and well, you have bluetooth on your PC and you are able to do all things with your P800, EXCEPT the backing up which still requires you to have the sync station via cable... kind of dumb I would think...

Is this only temporary and future versions of the PC Suite would cater for it?

maybe because when you reboot your phone, it will lose the bluetooth connection and will only be enabled once the phone is on.
