Hi Again everyone , i bought a p800 last week and it is just the best phone ever BUT i cannot get it to connect to my Pc.
Anyone who can help gets a free favour from me!
It shows two little arrows in the taskbar and one the right a up and down , like a heart beat. It show me being connected on COM4.
However the wizard never starts and the phone monitor never starts!
I have reinstalled everything many times and no joy!
I run xp pro - will this matter? |

check the Phone Monitor option in your PCs control panel.chk COM4 if its Enabled,disable it.

The com1 was enabled but the com4 was disabled?
I enabled the com4 and tried but to no avail!
This sucks!
I have no idea what to do! |

Have you tried downloading the newest driver for the sync cradle? Mine started working as soon as I installed the latest version from SE. |

Its never worked at all - it shows connected my ' my p800' never responds - and all the programs ask me the connect the phone or tell me it is not connected.
It is hurting my head!
I have loads of stuff to put on it too!
I try the drivers just to be sure! |

If you have a firewall of some sort evern the one built into XP then turn them off or allow the SE programs to pass through it. This was my main problem before I opened it in ZoneAlarm.

It might be a long shot but I had a similar problem and what it turned out to be was that I had switched the bluetooth to automatic and this seemed to stop it syncing with my PC so switched it off and it worked???? Dont ask me why! |

Where can i get the sync station drivers exactly i can't find them on the SE site
I've tried the new Version of the PC suite - I was just wondering if XP pro is supoorted at all...?
Help Help before I chuck the computer and my p800 out of the window!

I removed the zone alrm program just to see if it was causing the issue but it's not.
I looked in the programs file and got the error logger up. It says something about a port error no.0 - which means serious error?
I have investigated this but my ports are fine - i've swapped the usb around as well.
I am going to try it on a friends computer and see if it works!
ARGHHHH!

Hi
After you have installed the software from SE put phone on the docking station, click on my computer, control panel then Add new hardware and follow prompts.
My computer didn't "see" my phone whan i first installed until I did this.

try to check ur phone control panel, then cable, then check pc connect.
