OK, so the T610 is coming out any day now...
the Z1010 is on the horizon...
the P800 is slowly getting cheaper...
and now are soon to announce brand new phones!!
I was going to pre-order the T610, but now I'm not so sure. I quite like the idea of the new "clamshell" phones, but when will these be announced?? How long before they are released??
I have the T68i, and the T610 will be a colour/java/poly upgrade. However, I am paranoid about scratching the phone and screen. Clamshell designs at least keep the screen tucked away...
Also, NoBackUp's comments (hissing speaker, hanging, scratches) are giving me doubts about the phone.
So I dont know what to do. Buy now and hope the new phones don't come out for 6-8 months, or wait and see...?
I can't think of any upcomming Mobile events for to make their announcements... |

well, I've read a lot of new reviews made by new owners and they said all the same thing:
T610 is very stylish and small. Its build quality is improved in comparison to the T68i, but.... menus are still a bit slow, screen is wonderful when you are indoor but it is dark when you want to see it in the street, there is a serious lack of memory for storing pics and games, and above all the radio provide poor performances (like for the T68i).
Of course some guys expect that many of these problems will be fixed by a simple software update...
So, let's wait and see what SE will do

I really like the z1010 but it's worth noting that it's primarily being marketed as a 3g phone. As such it's probably not going to be released much before 3g comes into its own.
I know Three is already doing 3g, but I don't think it will appear until all the networks make a push for it - as such I'm not going to hold my breath however much I want it.

Ok, I want a weeny phone with replaceable covers so that in a year or two I can buy a new cover and make it look all new again
Although I suppose I could get the whole cover/keys replaced at a SE service centre.... will they do that?? (replace the keypad also?)
um.... my girlfriend has the 8310. She was won over by the shiny chrome bits ...poor girl! |

Hi,
I've got pretty much the same "problem" (if you can call "what phone should I buy" a real problem). I really like the T610 and all its features. However, I've always wanted a clampshell phone, for the very reason that the screen is protected. I am considering a Samsung S300 right now, which does have some nice features - no mms, camera etc, though. I wouldn't buy the v200 cos it looks sh**. Furthermore, I think that the T610 with its 95g is quite heavy compared to the S300 72g. The screen of the T610 is much bigger though - but only STN.
What should I do - I really like both phones!
Help me !

That's the main problem for me, and that's why I will not buy this T610 and wait for the clamshell or P200. |
