Hi,
Like to hear your opinions which is the best casing for the P800 in terms of the look, the protection and the convenience. I kind of like the Piel Frama compared to the rest so far. It does cost much more than the rest though, and I'm not sure if it's worth that amount of money.
Thanks. |

The Piel Frama is a very bulky case, IMO, but it gives the most protection.

I'm using the Piel Frama,..without no doubt the best case I have,..very good built-quality. Protection-wise I believe its the best one, as the upper leather is very strong and firm,..the inner part is soft.
I dont really consider it big or bulky, regarding the fact that you have room for additional MS Duo and stylus and e.g. businesscard.
Price-wise,..I dont consider it expensive in any way,..the quality is High-End

I bought the Piel Farma case and when I got it I loved it but within 2 days I hated it it kept slipping of it's holder whilst attached to my belt the angle is also wrong it's complicated to use this clip that, it's a really well made product but the best is the Sony IBK20 Business Case it's the dog's bo**oc*s.... and great value with the other bits that come with it |

I have the Piel Frama, and would highly recommend it to anyone. If you live in europe, you can buy direct from their website... (forget the address sorry, it comes up easy if you google for it).
I did this and the case turned up inside 3 days. Very very pleased with it indeed, it gives heaps of protection to the screen - and I use my P800 with the flip off. |

A few questions on the piel frama, please
My P800 is always flip off, is there any chance that the edge of a spare duo stickor the spare digitizer thingy may damage the screen?
And how do you answer calls with the flip off, do you leave in the case? does the flap get in the way when you are on the phone?
Also, is there any noticable lose of reception (phone) when P800 is in case......I found I got this a few years ago when I tried a case on an old phone
thanks

to answer calls, i just open the flap and bend it all the way back, no problem. or could also leave it hanging but looks and feels kinda funny. i've also used it on speakerphone with the flap closed and it worked fine.
haven't noticed any effect on reception at all.
as for mem sticks damaging the screen, i guess it's possible although the clearance between the flap and the screen appears to be adequate. i have my flip removed also. |

I've got the Piel Frama and overall I like it. It protects the P800 very well - I've dropped my phone a few times already and the case has done its job.
The holder/belt clip, though, as somebody else mentioned is the weak part of this package. My phone/case kept slipping out of the holder and within a fortnight the clip broke! The solution I found was to use a belt clip from an old Motorola Accompli 008 and it has been faultless. The case never breaks away from my belt and it's easy to attach/detach.
In summary, get the case but find an alternative belt clip!

The positioning of the slots in the flap for the extra bits on the piel frama are such that the extra stylus and first memory card don't touch the screen themselves but the plastic bottom bit of the phone (flip is off). I think it's actually better to use the piel frama with no flip, as the mem card and stylus could press the keys of the flip ino the screen. The lower memory card slot fits opposite the screen, but if you have a stylus and another card in there, them resting on the plastic lower part of the phone lifts the whole lot clear of the screen.
As for it slipping out of the belt clip - I've never had that happen due to the sturdy leather strap over the top that keeps it in place; but it does swivel round sometimes so it is pointing down, but even riding my bike like this I have had no slipping out issues! |

Thanks for all the advice folks... yup, I got myself a Piel Frama case for my P800 and I love it....
A question though.. I thought the case would allow charging and syncing of the P800 with the sync station without taking it out of the casing. Is that so? I need to take it out of the case to be able to slot it into the sync station...

I bought a Piel Frama in the UK from Expansys www.expansys.com
it is definatly worth the money, i use without the flip, and there is plenty of protection
as mentioned forget the belt clip, the case hangs upside down when in use, and although the phone is securly held in, it is difficult to remove when trying to awnser a call! |

got my Piel Frama case today.
Absolutely delighted.
the quality is 1st class.
I got the black one without belt clip (wouldn't use the belt clip)
The 2 duo slots actually hold 2 each, so 5 duos can carried (one duo in the phone).
anyone who appreciates quality handmade leather, get one, you wont regret it
