after only about 15 seconds of ringing it goes to the answer phone. Does anyone know how to delay this?

Thanks

i had the same problem, then i realized that it only happens when u use personalized ringtones!!! if u dont want this to happen, u would have to use the preset ringontes, or only ringtones for se p800 OR u can go to preference of ur fone(on flip open) go to voice control and uncheck "voice answer"...
let me know if this works for you

depends on your network provider.

i am on uk voda and i havent seen the settings.. but if you are on orange or o2 you should be able to search the forums for the answer.

Or post back with your network - and someone might be able to help you

Well then stop being so lazy and either go search the forum for the answer (and it is there!!) or go find the thread I replied to only 2 days answering the same question

I'm just waiting to get flamed for suggesting searching the forums, but laziness on the part of the thread starter is pretty evident here

that was a bit unnecessary. you are a very rude and impatient man. Why dont you try searching for something you don't know the keywords to. It doesnt take much to just post a link to a previous topic.

In future just try and be helpful, it makes the forum a nicer place to come and visit.

See how polite I am??? Doesn't take much does it.

sorry i dunno either where the post is, but just make sure that your voice mail is not set up with 15 secs of ringing.
for personalized ringtones, make sure that u have recorded the ringtone in the appropriate p800 format(mono/stereo/etc...)i ooked for the format u need put i cant find it right now...Just look in ur manual to find the recording settings
and i too agree that people should stop saying, gooo look, gooo do a search,etc... How would they know if u did or did not a search anyways???

I WAS HELPFUL !! I've already told you I answered the same question 2 days ago, hence using my powers of deduction if I go back a couple of pages on the forum the thread magically appears.

You claim to not know what keywords to search for. You already have the keywords in your original post. Just search for Orange and Answer. Thats all I did to find the answer the other day.

Why do people get so insulted when searching the forum is suggested !! Some of us have already provided these answers many a time. We provide you with information to help solve the problems, and then when we dont give people direct links straight to those answers, or repeat what we've already typed for the 1000th time, we're seen as being unhelpful !! Sorry, but that isnt the case.

it doesnt take much to be polite. I asked a simple question. Didnt realise that being on orange made a difference hence didnt use that keyword. Why is it such a big deal to just point me in the right direction? Are you the sort of person who tells someone whose car pulls over and asks for directions to get a map?

Come on Andy. The whole purpose of this forum is to be helpful to each other. I am sorry I didnt use my initiative enough for you. Will promise to try harder next time!!!!!!

jbendaou - i assume he means me coz i posted the link to the answer mate.

demon - chill out man it's all sorted now, I'm a keen advocate of people using the search function myself, but as an experienced Esatoan I know full well how hard it can be sometimes to find an answer using the somewhat limited functionality of it. As bloomp said, people come here to share info, so if you know it, why not just answer the question and maybe politely advise about the search function rather than shooting your mouth off at the thread-starter?
