I was just wondering if its really necessary to upgrade the firmware of my phone. I was told that it would be faster compared to what i have now. It will cost Php 500 at semicon here in manila. I was also told that should there be any other problems (parts) i will also be forced to pay the replacement. Do they really need to open the phone just to update the software? how can i be sure that its not their fault when something happened to my phone? |

The soft update wont affect the hardware.the update is done by cable or ir so they dont open the phone.if some hardaware fails after this i dont think will b cuz of the update.

what version of firmware do you have? current one is R7A i think. you can also try to call SmartNet and ask how much upgrade would cost. might be cheaper. dunno. |
