lazarini Joined: May 08, 2002 Posts: > 500 PM, WWW	Posted: 2003-05-07 23:27 Well i just put my phone in the cradle to make a backup of it i have the latest pc connect software instaled , the phone connects to my laptoop and as i hit the backup button it says that i shoud free some memory on my phone as maybe i coud not restore it later i have 3.3 mb free on it (phone mem. not duo) ... i hit ok and it says to press continue on the phone to proced i do that and then step 2 says i have to power up the phone while in cradle i do that and the phone powers and displays backoup in progress but on my laptop it still shows step 2 saying i shoud power the phone .... sitting here for 10 mins and still nth happens whille phone still displays the same ... it is vital i make a backup couse im having it flashed to rd2 in the morning !!! please help ... ? regards laz Ericsson R520m - Nokia 9300i - Nokia E90 - iPhone 8Gb

That is what I have done and no problems so far. I think that this whole "can't restore thing" was just a panic.

SE has never heard of the problem when I asked them, but then again they hadn't heard about the lousy outgoing voice quality in R1B either... If you're on another languagepack than UK Eng, do not restore from a previous backup after upgrading to R2D.
