Anyone know what the fastest connection speed is for dialup isp services whenused on p800? If it is not JUST 9.6k then could somebodytell me how to increase the speed because the one I am dailing up to is connecting at 9.6k only.

thanks.

T-Mobile charge sooo much for gprs so i am prepared to settle for a slightly slower internet connection speed on p800 if i don't have to pay as it shud be included in my free minutes....

does anyone know any more on the subject of GPRS in UK vs DIALUP?

More importantly tho, the first question regarding speeds thanks.

The P800 supports HSCSD dialup and such, and HSCSD is 43kbps isn't it? i'm not sure, but i think its something like that. atleast alot faster than 9.6 (which really isnt usable, except for irc'ing and fetching non-html emails without attachments)

Orange are the only one in the UK that support HSCD 28.8k dialup.

If I were you I would find yourself a decent gprs package and use that instead - it's a lot more useful
