I have a T68 for more then a year now, and i was looking for a new top SE-phone. I was glad that the P800 came out with his massive features, but he was a bit to expansive. (800euro)
now i am waiting for the T610 (under the 500euro i think)
but now i saw the P800 was 505 euros on http://www.expansys.com/
(i can download the language package on se site) but is the P800 new enough?
Wich will i buy?
I like the T610 design more, and the screen and sounds will be cooler. to show off with.
I use my kalendar, E-mail and WAP a lot on the T68i, thats why the P800 is so cool for me. But he is so big. And how is the color-screen? is 4065 colors enough to say WOW! ?
On mophun and se you can find enough games for the T300/T310 and i guess soon allso for the T610 But where can you download games for the P800? wich one got the best camera?
I know it are thinks i need to deside for myself, but maybe you guys can help. Do i choose for the design ore for the specs?
T610
Pros for me:
- same options as the T68i but better/nicer
- nice design
- small
- games maybe compatibel with my girlfriends T300
- 32 bit sound
- better screen
P800
Pros for me:
- advanced calendar
- big screen
- memory stick
- internet
- good email and attachment reader
Cons for me:
- i like the grey one better
- the baby-blue theme is ugly and unchangable
- where can you donwload games?

Well I still have a T68i and P800 but I will be getting 2 T610's to replace these (a phone with GPRS is very important for me day to day so I always keep an extra for redundency).
The T68i is a great phone and I would never get rid of it until this T610 comes out.
The P800 was a bit of a novelty and I did get caught up in the hype a bit but since I use an IPAQ 5450 via bluetooth/GPRS for most big-screen stuff like web and serious email etc etc I don't really need anything the size of the P800 so that will be first to be sold.
My choice between T610 and P800 is definitly T610.

Yes, T610 is small, nice. But when you want to use some advanced features, like MMS, install some games, etc. you will see very quickly phone limitations.
P800 is heavy and big brick. But it has all. Actually I dont want to take phone and palm with me - integrated solution is better choice.
I solved this dilema few days ago - result you can see on my icon I got P800 with operator's contract extension for less than 500 euros. |

I think I will go for the T610. I like the T68i a lot, so i will defenetly like the T610. I like the design, 32bit sound and better screen more then the P800 options.

Yeah, the T610 doesn't have the flash built in but IIR you may be able to buy a flash accessory to plug in the bottom ~Eva

t610 is just a phone, sure it is cool and you can show off but p800 is your mobile universe i mean where else can you check sky map for upcoming lunar eclipse (15th) and mail the pict as you drive (i know not the safest way )

The flash device that can be clicked on the T610 isnt actually a flash. Its more a bright lamp. Its does not flash but just shines when you attach it (maybe with a button between it).
The sometimes slow reactions of the SE menus would cause something like. >Click<, a photo, wait 2 secs, ... FLASH!
That should be the reason why SE made the flash into a lamp. (they better make there menus faster) |
