I don't think there is a way to retrieve stuff off of flash memory (e.g. sony memory stick) once its been deleted, but if you have a linux machine handy try hooking it up to that and doing an #od to the whole drive that memory stick is mounted to. don't think it will work but its worth a try....

It's possible to recover erased files on a memory stick under certain circumstances.
* Do not write any (new) file to your memory stick.
Buy/Lend a "memory stick drive" or "card reader" or how ever it might called (hama USB 2.0 PocketDrive 6in1).
This is a thing similar to a disk drive, plugs to USB and can hold different types of cards (CF, MulktiMedia, MS, ..).
* It will show up under your operating system (assumed you are using Win) as a drive letter
* ger some recovery software from the internet (don't know how the one I used was named - but there should be a lot of them, google UNDELETE ERASED FILES / RECOVER or the like. I found some shareware that was good for files up to 100k, which was enough. Worked for me under WIndows XP, should work under W2K, for the others OpSyses I can't say anything.
Hopww you can recover your files.
