+448717111333 is the number. (0871) I know 0870 comes from your inclusive minutes on Orange UK, what about 0871 in the number above, and what is the cost of an 0871 number? and is it included in Orange UK inclusive minutes? TIA.

Irang up Orange and got this reply for my tariff (everyday 50), wap callscome from your inclusive minutes after that calls are charged at 5p/min, or 2p/min weekdays. Hope this helps.
PS. If I get a huge bill from Orange because of bad info, where do I stand? Damn I knew the call recorder was usefull for something!!! |

Thanks for that Jammods, but aren't those costs just for the normal Orange WAP gateway?, I'm still scared! LOL

Well a normal WAP site for run of the mill WAP phones have just plain old monochrome graphics and text.
For use on newer up and coming colour phones like the T68 for example, everything is in different colours including the graphics etc.
Technically no different from a normal WAP site but much nicer to browse through as all text and graphics are in colour instead of monochrome. |

I had a problem with Orange last summer holidays when I was away from home for two mocths and was using my mobile to connect to the internet and ran up a bill of £250!!!! But because I was informed wrongly I fought it for about 2-3months and eventually got it sorted down to about £60ish |

Don't be fooled!
I got my orange bill, and I got charged for EVERY access made to the 08717111333 number!
All calls were made after 7:00 (Everyday 50). Orange are crooks!.
A 00:10:52 call to that number cost me £1.358 (@ 22:05)!.

Oh dear now i'm scared again, I wish I could find out for sure! Guess i'll just stick to the plain old monochrome orange WAP site till i find out for sure! Wonder why they insisted it was the same as 0870 when it clearly isn't then. Sigh. |

i asked a week ago, and i was told 30p day, 12 pence nite.
the call center reps know f**k all.... i have often been told one thing, and then found its another.
for example, when asking about my free 50 mins, i was toild they run from 7pm-7am, and that u get a new 50 everyday at 7. i found thid to be not true, infact my 50mins are given to me at midnight.
i guess it would be a good idea to have them text u the information, and log it onto your account, then if u get charged- you have a comeback.
saying this the orange peps are good, when comapred to 121- as alot of 121 centers are outsorced and hence will cover up lies instead of fixing them.

I'm not using the colour WAP site till I find out for sure LOL. |

I get colour even if I don't have Orange or something like that. I use my usual from my provider, Telenor (Norway) |

The first URL posted in this thread is an alternative for Orange users. Orange's WAP-gateway is not configured to handle elements (logos) with a size larger than about 1500 bytes. Most colour logos found on Esato is above this size. That's why the are discussing other solutions.
Tip: Get the settings from Ericsson (for free)

Hi to all
I don't know wether Orange allows you guys to dail into a regular ISP? If yes and dailing into a regular ISP is cheaper than dailing into the Orange number than dail into a regular ISP's number and use 212.17.130.194 (color) as your wapgateway. Overhere in Holland the tarif does not change but it's better because this gateway is in color.
Hope you understand what I mean.
