What is the difference in the two when setting up GPRS/WAP on a T68?

Check if your operator supports connection oriented.

Basically, it determines whether or not state information are exchanged between sender and receiver.

Connection oriented (TCP) is for reliable tranmission.

Connection less (UDP) is for fast transmission.

Check out some TCP/IP books if you want to know more.

Thanks for the response.

I have seen settings for Voicestream (US)using both and I can only get one to work. I just wondered if I was really missing something. I appreciate your help.
