Hi,
Recently, I have this weird behaviour with my P800. After exiting from a program, typically games, when I click on the application launcher, the list is empty even under the "ALL" category.
When I restart the phone, the list of program are back, even though they are all now filed under the "Unfiled" category whereas they used to be filed under different categories.
What's going on? How do I prevent this from happening? Losing all the categorization that I have done and redoing them everytime is very frustrating and a waste of time.
Thanks.

i get this at least once a week.

firstly, all my applications disappear completely from the list.

uninstalling an app seems to bring them back so i usually uninstall something minor and then reinstall it again.

afterwards i also have to reset my folders.

this and a continuing lack of profiles (se or 3rd party) are the main problems with my phone now ...

any ideas how to prevent this ? has anyone who used to get this noticed it fixed under the new firmware updrade ?

Face similar problem. Just upgraded to R2D from R1D - still having the same bug. I've notice that if I remove the memory stick (while the phone is still on) and reinsert it again - all the apps reappears.

thanks zakim - will give this a try - it's much easier than uninstalling an app and then reinstalling ...

Same problem here on R2D. Flushing memory with SMan helps

i've heard a couple of complaints about this problem. will probably include a "Fix Applist" option in sman's next version.

Sorry, but how do I flush the memory using SMan when it is not even showing up in the Apps List? Thanks.

Yes, this happens quite often. I have to restart the phone and then it's back to normal...quite annoying though!

One way to fix this is to eject the Memory Stick and reinstall it again.

This problem always happen when I install a new app. The menu items reappears when I uninstall the newly installed app.

I found a way to bring it back though without uninstallation.

Use the program switcher (its freeware I think). Just kill the applications program that is running then voila all your apps are back.

One downside though is I think the folder category of each application gets erased and everything is put into the UNFILED category.

Hoping for a better solution for this problem.

Will try removing the memory stick and see if that works. That's easier than the method above.
