Hi all,

I have done the silly thing of letting my internal memory run out. Now the phone won't start up. It hangs just after playing the startup mp4.

This means I can't get into the phone to do a Master Reset.

I heard a rumour that there was a way of resetting the phone back to factory settings without having to turn the phone on. Perhaps a particular short on the battery terminals?

Does anyone know if this is possible, or am I going to have to send my phone back to SE?

Cheers in advance,
- moldy

there is no other way of doing a reset on it.... bring it to a servicepoint and have it flashed...

Ok thanks...

I just phoned up Orange and told them, and because of my Orange Care Insurance I am getting a brand new P800 couriered to me tomorrow morning - woohoo!

Let's hope it has the new Firmware already on it because I really can't get to any service points.

soak the phone in bleach and it washes the memory clean... eventually.

Let us know if it has the latest firmware - if so my p800 may be developing a fault very soon!

nope - R2A old firmware most disappointed...

I am going to hold out to see if these "video capture in the summer" rumours are true, and upgrade then...
