The blue l.e.d indicates the state of the bluetooth function. It's all in the manual

Go to the menu > connect > bluetooth > operation mode > from there you can set it to on-off-automatic

Sorry about the wierd characters they are supose to indicate next menu. Anyhow bluetooth allows you to commicate with other devices and transfer data these devices such as pictures, melodies etc.

I'm glad ericsson phones aren't as colorful as the nokias. I've seen people with nokia phones that are so bleedin bright and colorful, leds flashing here and there and it's become rather an eyesore.
Haven't had the chance to test out the bluetooth function yet though.

Leds falshing everywhere?! What are you on about? Oh you mean the cheap flashing LED faces that are optionally put on the phone and not endorsed by or made by Nokia - oh... so thats Nokia's fault?

Hmm.... what about the top left red LED i have had the phone for a month and never seen it come on, I assumed it would mean no signal but since I live in wales I would have expected to see red most of the time?

The Led turns red when you charge the phone while the phone is off, when you charge with the phone turned on it is permanently green.
