I would like to know how old R2E006 Firmware is and if there is a higher version that will make my phone faster writing text messages. |

Hmm.. R2E is a pretty old software.. If my memory serves my right I think that it's from around July 2002. The latest version is R7A, and there have been several new versions since R2E.
Not only is the newer versions faster they also have added functionality, so an upgrade would certainly be recommended. |

I had mine upgraded to R7A013 fr R62 in India.Not much difference??!!

haha....i'm having two units at the moment
1 is with R7A_013 while the other R2A_014, of coz using the R7A while R2A acts as my spare phone, just wan to keep an ancient firmware |
