i'm just wondering what programs i shouldn't shut down to keep the phone runnin properly?

U can use program like SMAN.
With this program u can end task any program that u want.

He didn't ask what programs you can use, he asked what programs you can't shut down. I'm intrested as well. For an example, can you shut down 'beamer'? 'contacts'? 'Phone'?

Are there any that you can't shut down?
Is the reason you mentioned SMAN because with it you can only shut down 'legal' victims? In that case, I've never found the info in any search....

I have used filemanager and now using tracker, u cant close beamer and eiksrvbackdrop, all other progs seem to close ok

I believe only beamer and elvisbackside (or whatever it's called) can't be closed using Filemanager. These are essential system files that the phone needs active to continue to operate. Anything that it will let you shutdown, can be shut down safely. Don't mess with system files though - but it warns you that if you try!

@Parakoos - Agreed about the searching thing. As much of a mine of useful information as Esato is, it would be a better place without the opinions of the "search the forum" tossers!
