Hey guys,

Just wanted to bounce an idea off someone. If sending a business card over bluetooth is possible without pairing with devices, could this method be adapted for SMS or other text messages? I don't suppose there's an app out there that allows text messages to be sent over bluetooth is there?

Imagine the bluejacking possibilities!!

Both the Nokia 3650 and the S-E P800 have a way of sending and receiving plain text messages to a paired device over Bluetooth.

just use the jotter to create the text and choose "send as -> bluetooth".. choose to send text only when sending to nokia 3650/7650 though.. works fine..

I haven't tested it yet so I'll ask - is it possible to bluejack sending text-only messages with jotter?

I think it will ask them if they would like to receive the file or not, also i guess that only the 7650 and the 3650 support Text format

Well...since you are so desperate for an answer, here it is. T68i has an application called post it note. I am not sure about your p800 but you sure hell can download one. Type any msg you want and you can send to other compatible phones without pairing. This works with t68i peer to peer messaging. Tell me if this works for you.
