Nearly impossible... WAV files are recorded sounds while Midi files are instruments (violins, drums, etc). There probably is software out there that can make a midi sound a lot like a WAV file, but there's NO way they'll sound the same.

OKay its not perfect but with a bit of fine tuning and edit and assign the right instruments to the midi output in another music program like Cubase, Cakewalk or Reason, you can get a very good result!

insyder, don't be mad because you can't play music. obviously the topic starter doesn't play an instrument because he doesn't realize that wav. is actual sounds as opposed to midi which is electronically generated sounds. there is no way you could convert wav. to midi unless you actually recreated the song or whatever via midi.

...and thats what you can do thru widi, it pics up the polyphony notes in the wave file, does the musician part for us. its not perfect but as i said you need to tweak it and assign the right instruments to the midi after, don't have to be a musician to do that!
