Yes I know; I can create a new task with some text and an alarm time set, BUT couldn't there be a special wake up call function, easier to setup and why not; be able to shut off the phone and still get the call.

It's easy I suppose, I had it in all my "cheap" Nokias.................

man there's an easier way for doing that
simply click on the reddish clock (down right) on the screen , then click View and woila! set your wakeup alarm

Yea, someone else who should have read the manual.
Also to get the alarm with the GSM phone switched off, just set it to "flight mode".

Ok guys, I should have been longer in reading the manual..............., But Yes; I meant the phone shut OFF. You see; I did read the flight mode part....

well my t39m can have alarms that work when the phone is off so it isnt really much to ask for...
