since you cant use it on a GPRS WAP profile, which from what i gather most people use... what's the point of it?

It gives you full web access, and that's why you need a web account to use it. |

so you use your GPRS Web profile instead of GPRS Wap, which if you got the fone Orange it'll be readily setup for just the thing
