t68i does not power on: only a short bleep + light |

Since yesterday my t68i (not very old yet) only gives a brief "bleep" (not the usual tee-dee-dee when it powers on) and the backlight goes on for a quarter second. Then nothing. Yesterday and this morning I experienced that after giving up and putting it in my pocket I found (a couple of minutes later) that it was waiting for my PIN code. So yesterday it worked the whole day, this morning it worked but after turning it off briefly it now refuses to do anything but bleep when I try to turn it on.
Interestingly, if I keep holding the Power/No button, it bleeps/flashes about every two seconds.
I have removed the battery and SIM before trying again, but this made no difference.
Any tips would be really helpful! |

I hung the phone on the charger this entire night, the battery showed full this morning. Battery life is still quite good (usually around three days of normal use) |

If you can get it to the same stage as you did yesterday, (where you eventually managed to get it on), then try a master reset.
If you are unable to do this then take it to your nearest  service point.
