I can't remember anyone else posting this but apologies if they have. I recently got in touch with to check out the t610's memory state - ie, will it be stuffed with predefined items, and I got a reply today!

Dear Sir,

Thank you for contacting the Sony Ericsson Customer Care Centre.

The T610 does have 2Mb of space, there are items already on the phone buth these can be deleted, to make more space.

Please contact the Sony Ericsson Customer Care Centre again if we can assist you further.

Kind Regards,
Derek Ebbrell

well ..since it's a replacement for the T68i (which allows users to delete the predefined items), i would expect the T610 to be able to delete the predefined items as well
unlike the T3xx series which i dunno why SE wants to torture consumers of middle price range mobile phones

How much memory does the T68i have? That will give me a better comparison to the t610.

1000kb, plus minus some kb on different units. That makes the T610 twice as good. I have hold one in my hands, and it is really a good phone but the T68 is better looking.

Well, about the memory, it's been in here for quite some time...

If you ask me 2MB is an absolute joke. That will get filled up soo quickly, I've just got a 7250 and that has 5MB and its perfect. If you ask me the T610 is severely lacking in the memory department.

Ah but the predefined stuff on the phone and its lack (or not) of deletability is not mentioned, Tranquil!

So my post was not a total waste of time, yay me

Is it possible for me to take the SIM card out of my t68i and just transfer it to my t610 when I get it? Or do I have to buy a completely separate card?

Nah, you can just directly transfer your old sim.
