Connection Problem |

Hi,
I have a P800 and am currently having connection problems. I am running on Orange France with unlimited GPRS WAP MMS SMS etc.. Well anyway my GPRS is working as I can browse the web on my phone but the problem is I cant connect to any software. For example I cant update catalog or download with More Apps. TipicME wont connect. 12Planet IM wont connect. So my question is how can I fix this? Or is it Oranges problem? I am always in a place with a good network connection and the only thing that seems to be working incorrectly is this. |

To me it sounds like your gprs is wap only. Can you use opera properly, on normal web?
Another thing could be that your carrier uses some safety logs that won't allow those apps to share the connection. |

well I have been able to go onto normal websites (like I see on my comp) and HTML version of Esato. I am thinking it may be a problem with my carrier but I am not sure, has anyone else had this problem. |

I haven't got any of those apps, but I have World Mate, Converter and a couple more that updates over the internet, no problems on Comviq/Sweden.
It looks to be your carrier that messes up. |

Hello! I'm suffering the same problem. Located in switzerland with orange. GPRS seems to be working fine, as I can download eMail and surf the web without problems. However, i can not connect using Worldmate, TipicMe or 12planet IM. With Worldmate, the download bar appears but stays at 0%, with 12planet, after entering the logininformation the screen will turn blank and nothing happens.
I don't know wether this got to do with the phones configuration or the carrier.
Does anybody else have these problems?
