OK... This is a US-centric problem...

I currently carry two phones, a T68 for when I am in GSM service areas and a Siemens S46 for when I am traveling into areas without GSM service. I just swap the SIM between phones. If I buy a P800 to replace the T68, I'll still need the S46 once in a while. So, when I'm using the S46 and the SIM is in that phone, my P800 will be sim-less. Can I still sue the PDA functions without a SIM inserted?

Thanks!

im sorry dude im afraid u cant, due to the fact that u need to have a sim to turn on the fon and acess flight mode or turn on phone, but what u can do is have a non functioning SIM inserted in the P800 and use it in flight mode and therefore u will have full access to the PDA function.

cheers

Unfortunatly not, once the phone is on it'll ask you for a sim card (Ther might be an unofficial way about this; which i don't know of)

Thanks for the responses! I was afraid of that... I guess I can get a prepaid SIM or a cheap one somewhere...

No, when I need the S46 I'm in smaller cities and rural areas that only have TDMA coverage, but the S46 won't power-up without a SIM either even though it would be using the TDMA network...

sigh...
