I made a jpeg picture with text information about where to reach me if someone found my p800 and uploaded it to my P800. I also stated that the finder would recieve a 100 dollar reward.

I then use this picture as the screen saver for my P800.

I always set the screen saver to lock the device in 15 minutes....so no one can browse my files

Well last night I forgot my P800 at a resturant and today I got a call from the manager there who said my p800 was there....he did not even want the reward money!

Good to know there is still some honest people in the world!

Aaaa..

And for you out there who can't read the original nordic language: I would recommend to any P800 owner to buy a leather case for it. SE's got one as well as Krusell.

You know at first whenever I read a post about someone who lost their P800, I just couldnt understand.. what the heck.. we were talking about $700 cellphone.. how could you lost it? Didn't make sense to me before.

But yesterday, it happened to me, I left my cellphone at my office, although it's relatively safe, but this thing could happen to everybody.. there's no exception and that's really scary

so I guess, Ice5339's method is great.. thanks for sharing dude.

I would recmmend to all P800 owners to own a "saturday night phone" some cheap phone that doesn't dent your wallet too much if it gets "beered", lost or stolen.

A phone like a Nokia 3310 ... wich nobody will miss
