Hey everyone I had my P800 flashed to R2D today (in Australia by the way!) I must say they have improved the functionality of the Communicam, Picture Viewer & Audio Player but they seemed to have left out the REALLY important stuff like the pathetic Blue-tooth functionality & the quirky internet settings!

I really had to bust my balls to get this upgrade & it doesn't seem to have been worth it! I hope SE get their act together & fix up the Blue-tooth finctionality! Where is the abilty to change the pass-key? What about battery level, pageing & ringer volume?!

When setting "Preferred Mode" (in the "Internet settings" "Other" tab) to "Automatic" incomming calls are still diverted to voice mail. This didn't happen in the previous version!!

Does anyone know how to access some of the system settings in the phone?

I don't agree on the BT thing, it works great on mine, it already was perfect on R1D and it still works perfect on R2D.

When I was at the service center for the upgrade there was another guy with a P800 who had the problem if he selected to activate BT, his P800 would simply lock up!

So I guess you better check your hardware instead, some ppl seem to have BT issues which are hardware related.

Nah...i think the bluetooth functionality on the P800 (with a PC) is very pathetic...i posted another thread, (http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=25796&forum=35)

I am going to try and get SE to admit there is a problem and get some sense out of them.

BT connection in R2D is stable and reliable... but I have to agree... BT implementation in the P800 is sad.

I should be able to INITIATE a BT serial port connection to my PC FROM my P800. I should be able to change passkeys on my other BT devices FROM my P800... among other things. The P800 should have the same BT functionality and options as a full blown PC!!!!

Hey, Hey guys my Blue-tooth works fine, but having come from owning/using an Ericsson T68 which had all the functionality I listed above to the P800 which can't even change the pass key!! That's just not good enough! Ericsson have more than proven they can develop excellant Blue-tooth implementations (with the T68) why couldn't they port that accross to the P800!

Why don't you check what happens when a second Blue-tooth headset (which is paired to another P800) comes within range!!! Talk about hearing double!

hey, Where in Australia did you get the P800 flashed?

If it's in melbourne, can you tell me where, and how much it costs ,how long it took, and whether you need to book.

Thanks
