Anyone know when the T610 will be out in Hong Kong? I've asked all the mobile phone dealers and they still seem to have no idea when it's coming! and i read somewhere on this board that it's suppose to be here by end of april! sigh.... |

What will you do?
Buy the T610 as soon he is in the shops.
Buy the T610 when the prices are dropping
Wait for the Z1010

Well by the time z1010 is out, SE will probably announce a new phone. and then the problem just keeps going!
One more thing, 3G is available all over the world when z1010 is out...
By the T610 when it hits the street I say!

According to some local newspaper, the T610 will be released in HK by coming mid May. HK SE is now working hard to meet that target date. By the way, HK SE will set up a demo pool at Times Square, Causeway Bay on coming weekend where T610 will be shown to HK public for the first time. I sure will go there and take a look that day. |

Good point, Rashkae. In fact, HK SE did provide 'instant' liquid soap for individuals to wash their hands before they can touch the phones on certain section of the road-show camp. But I still washed my hands again immediately after I played with one of the T610s.

mav, the SE people told me that the target release date is coming mid May(in HK) and they are trying to push that to early May.
Timing is good as I can(and am definitely will) buy one as birthday gift for myself then........hehe...... |

thanks a bundle for the replies.... i'm so looking forward to this phone.... but i'm a little worried about getting used to the weight and size of it since i'm using the T600 right now. |

T610 is definitely 'bigger' and 'heavier' than T600 but given the fact that T610 is way superior to T600 in terms of technical specification, I think T610 is the best we can get at present.
T600's reputation as being the once smallest/lightest non-flip phone in the world has largely been overshadowed by its infamous 'sleep-mode' and 'poor reception' problems. Of course, I do hope that SE would be able to overcome the 'poor signal reception' issue and come up with another T600-like mobile phone that has both the 'compactness' of T600 and most, if not all, of the features of T610. |
