Hi

A few days ago when I was playing with the phone I tried to access my contacts. Well, it didn't show up the way I wanted to. A message saying "Not enough memory" (in Swedish) came up and dissapeared at the same moment. My problem seems quite clean, doesn't it? :-/

Even though I deleted a lot of junk at the phone it says the same. My theory is that all the pictures that I had of all my contact are still there in some cache or something, even though these are deleted. Are there a lot of pictures somewhere in the system that I can delete or does anyone have a clue of what the problem is. It's annoying to keep all numbers in my head :-(

Please..

Use file manager to look for this file:

C:\System\Data\Contacts.cdb

That is where your contacts and pictures are stored. If it's gone it looks like tough shit I'm afraid .....

I hope you've done a recent backup !!!

My "Contacts.cbd" is there at 4952 bytes(?). Seems a little too small for carrying a bunch of pictures. I have a recent backup, but as I can remember I couldn't bring it back because it said something weird.

Shall I delete Contacts.cbd and try to replace it with the backup version? What happends if Contacts.cbd gets deleted and I can't bring another one in the position? Does the phone create a new one?

I had the same prob on sunday! I ended up doing a master reset to solve the fault.

On the downside, I never made a backup, so I lost a lot of stuff!!

Atleast you have a backup tho!

I lost ALL 650 contacts on my P800 today. I recommend everyone to backup their contacts

with file manager as previous post advised is

C:SystemDataContacts.cdb

I used my girlfrinds P800 backed it up, then installed all my data onto it her phone

I then sent the contacts to my phone via bluetooth

then restored my girlfriends phone with her data

Backing up your C:SystemDataContacts.cdb file would be easier

there must be a bug in contacts or on the P800 somewhere for this to happen.....dont be caught out
