I am running winXP pro, a TECOM bluetooth USB dongle, SE t68i, winAMP3. I have installed "mobilephonemonitor_r2a.exe"

I have tried to use Pc Control, and can move the mouse and launch applications, however when i try to control winamp i get the following message on my mobile;

winAMP should be running but could not find it's process

This happens if winAMP is running or not. I've used FMA with the media player 8 script which works fine but i was keen on seing the playlist on my mobile (as i understand is the case with Pc control) as well as just controlling the PC.

Winamp is installed in C:\program files\Winamp3 which has two executable files called winampa.exe and studio.exe, i point Pc Control to studio.exe as this is the only file that opens winamp for me. Winamp works fine with mouse.
I've scoured these forums and not found anyone with a similar problem
This is annoying me now as the bluetooth works fine and other programs work such as the sony ericsson send file so i presume MPM is installed fine also

Any advice?
Cheers

Hi guys, I know I'm a newbie here but is there any reason why there are no replies, should I assume its a one off problem that cant realy be solved, am i in the wrong thread?
If anyone could reassure me and say they dont spot any glaring mistakes in what i've done already I'd be very greatfull.

Thanks again

Neal

You can't use Winamp 3.
Try WinAmp 2.5 - 2.8

You can use Winamp3, but you have to rename the directory to Winamp.......Or while you install Winamp3, make an directory WInamp, and not Winamp3.....both ways have worked for me...

i tried an unistall and reboot then re-installing in the winamp directory but still no go. The Phone manages to open winamp from the application menu but when i click the winAMP menu i get the same message.

Winamp should be running but cannot find its process

But thanks for the feedback
