I've been reading through a bunch of posts and it looks like people are connecting their Palm Tungsten Ts to their GPRS connections via the onboard Bluetooth.

I can't for the life of me seem to get this working. I know my phone settings are right because if I select an IR connection, everything works like a charm. But I bought the Tungsten specifically so I could use Bluetooth!!

I can pair the devices fine and they are both added to the "Trusted Devices" list, but when it comes time to actually make the connection, the Palm always says (Error: Serial: Timeout - Could be faulty modem).

The Bluetooth is on and actually while the Palm is trying to connect, the Bluetooth activity lights flicker a little. I've heard it could be a Bluetooth 1.0 vs. 1.1 problem, or a firmware issue with the phone? I'm running R3B006 now with no other problems, so if I don't have to upgrade, I probably wouldn't bother.

I'm on the Fido (Microcell) network in Canada if it makes any difference. Luckily I bought the Tungsten from somewhere with a return policy, so if I can't get this to work, I might just take back the Palm.
