I think we should discuss this matter because, as I read some topics, it seemes SonyEricsson played a nasty move on all of us.
First point: a new t68 (called t68i) comes out from nowhere just a couple of month after our phone, making our investment equal to 0.

Second: noone really new something about this phone until it appeared on their site www.sonyericsson.com/t68i .

Third: with all the phones they produce they could have created a new model, not re-invent t68.

Fourth: As it appears from some topics, the new accessories will not work with our t68m. And again no announcement has been made by SonyEricsson.

For this four reasons I really start thinking that they f***d us all.
And the worst thing is THAT THEY REALLY DON'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT IT.

I could say I feel disappointed. Anyone agrees? Please, also news that state other than I have written (about accessories) are very welcome. But should be somewhat official.

I'm going to trade in my t68 for a t68i and i'll keep that till the p800 comes out

then i'll buy that.

isn't much of a difference in price.

I think i'm going to either sell my t68m as soon as possible, before the public know about the t68i and then buy that, before the price of t68m drops too much...
I dislike now though and am thinking of maybe just buying the new Siemens SL55...

Maybe it's possible to change the cover of T68m to i then everything would be ok....

I don't agree. This is just a normal development in TC business.

I don't feel anyway betrayed. After I get my MMS upgrade I will be happy person and wait first UMTS phones.

Actually, I'm very satisfied with my T68m. It looks better, and ofcourse we WILL get an upgrade soon.

The T68m are soon going out of production, and then our phones will become very exclusive.

I once owned a Panasonic G500. When it was two years old I sold it for almost the same price I bought it for! Do you wanna know why:

It had gone out of production!!! And it looked nice (at that time).

The T68m also looks nice!!

I called the ericsson distributors here and they said the mms upgrade wasn't official by ericsson and that they don't have it.

Also, what's the latest version of the T68 SW?

I'm not worried at all by the change in appearance of the new T68i, the thing that really pisses me of is the fact that there may be a possibility that after the MMS upgrade for the T68, there will be no more, but there will be more for the T68i because of internal hardware upgrades, that's a rumour I've heard and have asked so I'll let everybody know when I get an answer. That's why I feel ripped off, I brought this phone thinking it had a lot of great features, and was going to be upgradeable for a long time to come, ALMOST future proof.

Yeah, but I wouldn't mind the new communicam, but if it doesn't work on the T68m like people keep saying, that's pretty dumb of isn't it????

Question: follalapadoo says that the T9 is still as slow as shit on the MMS update of the T68m, but rumour has it, it's faster on the T68i...

That's crap too, isn't it....

I think many of you are behaving childish!!!

If you buy a car with a 2.0 liters engine. A half year later the same car is introdused with a 2.2 liters engine.

Would you drive like hell to your car-provider saying: "I WANT THE 2.2 ENGINE! I WANT THE 2.2 ENGINE! Buuu huuu..."

No of course not!

So stop envy those people whoom maybe are getting a litle bit better specs on their phone, and love the phone you already got!!

I love it and wouldn't switch it for a T68i if I could!

The thing I wanted to say is that I feel we got a beta version of a phone, and that I am afraid we paid for it far too much. But we didn't know anything about a t68i version.

I only wanted a good phone that I could keep up to 3G ones.
I still hope I will get the MMS upgrade, but if not then I will be disappointed.

I don't have the money to just say :- Ok a new phone is out let us buy it.-
For me it was a sort of investment, I told myself that such a good and costy phone will have some years of use and many accessories built for it in the future.

It all depends on what the new software will bring us.

But this doesn't mean I am not happy with my phone. It means I don't want it to loose all it's value (not in term of price of course) only 2 months after I bought it.

we're not talking about a car here, and car manufacturers don't come out with new cars immediately after the release of the first model.

ericsson should have just released the p800 instead of the t68i
