Pay for upgrades? |

Welcome to the real world. Ericcson, like any PLC, are out to make money for their shareholders by selling new models and not perpetually issue free sw upgrade.
As my T68 cost around £200 on contract from Singlepoint (and when are they going to bring GPRS on line?) I would happily pay a commercial rate of, say £20-£30, to have the phone professionally upgraded from time to time. Perhaps even the Ericcson Service Providers might show a bit mopre interest.
What do you think? |

Nopes, they should be free.
And once again the MMS update was told to be FREE when we bought our phones so I dont think will change that!!

The contract says that u don't pay for upgrades during the one year warranty. They cant change that, i already have the warranty paper in my pocket. :-o

My main point was meant to be that a little payment might oil the wheels of commerce and perhaps Ericcson might be less secretive/obstructive- and who knows perhaps tell us that a new upgrade is on offer, what the changes are etc etc. - with the service dealers actually please to see us queueing at their doors |

If u have to pay, u can say that the phone shuts down sometimes or something. And it will be on the grantee. Atleast here in Norway.... |

I don't take any charge to upgrade a t68,
i would be mean to charge people for a work that takes four clicks of a button and a ten minute wait |

Never paid for the updates, and the MMS-update will also be for free. Have asked my SP. |

I don't think distributors really have a problem with upgrading the t68 software for users. I mean, it barely takes 20 minutes for em to do it and the service people that upgraded the software for my phone did it with a smile even.
And free software upgrades are included in the warranty. I would have to pay $45 each time I upgraded if not. |

Raymond Scrott-----> I think the 550 EUROS I paid for the phone is enough oil on the wheels of commerce for for them to update my phone for free and not be secretive and release the same phone as ours, claiming this one to be the BEST on the market...
Obviously I expect to much from them...

It's not our fault that they keep coming up with different versions of the software |
