I know a way to do it but its long winded & you need to use both the PC File Manger programme from http://www.epocware.com & the P800 suit backup software.
Will just see if someone knows a simple way before go into detail.
PS What problems are you having?

sync the phone again

You can delete the contacts.cdb with the PC File Explorer when the P800 is restarted to do a backup (connection icon showing) as it is not an open file then. When the P800 restarts, it will not find a contacts.cdb file and create a new one.
WARNING:
Do a full backup before pulling this trick incase you get it wrong. You can also copy the contacts.cdb to your PC before deleting it during the backup process giving you a backup of the contacts.cdb file outside of the P800 backup archive. |
