I know that there is a modem driver on the disks that came with the phone but thiis is for windows only. I am on OSX.

IMHO standard Ericsson Infrared modem script should work for you. Pair your PowerBook with P800 by Bluetooth setup assistant and fill proper CID in GPRS data connection part. |

With new bluetooth setup assistant you can setup your connection very easy. Switch your P800 into bluetooth discoverable mode. ln last step select data connection. As number you fill *99***# and correct APN (acess point name). You can get this APN from your operator - but ussually it is something like \"internet\". Select Ericsson infrared as modemscript and thats it!

Fantastic!
In fact the only thing I have needed to use is the call number *99***# in a copy of my GSM dialup and it started right away.
Thanks very much! |

I've been successfully using my P800 with my old G3 laptop (OS9.1 Wallstreet) using just plain old infrared. Works fine, I have cheap a cheap plan for night access. Just wondering what the advantages are of using GPRS and Bluetooth instead? |
