Nice Phone, But what is the 850mhz band used for, I know the 900 and 1800 is for euroupe/asia , and the 1900 is for america, so what is the 4th band for!!??

850MHz is for America as well, they run GSM on both 1900MHZ and 850MHz. It's more expensive to get coverage on 1900MHz, 850MHz has generally speaking a double range than 1900MHz but capacity is doubled with 1900MHz.

I think that the reason for special frequencies for USA is that the 900 and 1800 MHz band is occupied by other traffic (military).

I checked there web-site out and all it says that it coming soon?

haven't seen any release dates at all... but we'll probably now soon... they will present the phone at CeBIT

I can assure you this will be my next phone, it so sexy only wish it had bluetooth but oh well hehe. Actually 850 band isn't available in the US yet at&t is said to be the only provider using this band and it should be available may or june and other North Amrican prividers will follow with the 850 mhz conversion
