Hi all,
Been following this forum for ages and think its a great place for sharing stuff about the T68... forgetting the recent upgrade fever that is.
Anyway - to the point - has anyone tried receiving a fax through their T68?
I'm only interested because I just got one sent to me by mistake (wrong number).
The ring tone was different - the display showed "Fax call", the caller ID and "Answer?".
I pressed Yes and got a help message telling me that only a PC or IR-enable fax device could answer this call.
So how do you enable IR? The phone didnt automatically enable it as my PC wasnt detecting it as it usually does. You'd think that the phone would be smart enough to automatically activate IR if thats the only way the call can be answered...
So I lost the call. I wanted to get the number to call them back (wouldnt be the first time Orange thought that a voice call was a fax call). But the number is not logged anywhere in the phone. Neither the Call List, not the Unsaved numbers list.
I'm using R2A...
