Hello all, I have recently purchased the HBH-60 headset and have several questions concerning this technology.
First of all, does it work when it's out of sight? And if it does, what's the distance/thickness it will remain operatable?

Secondly, I have a question for the HBH-60's battery. Is there a certain guideline to charging this thing? I am thinking the battery it uses is lithium ion, which has minimal memory effect. So does that mean, I can just basically plug it in before I go to sleep, regardless of the battery status?

Thanks, when I think of more questions, I will update this thread.

bluetooth can work within 10m radius...out of sight is not a problem since it is a way of improved RF technology

the battery is Ni-Mn....for sure....so memory effect is not there.

I wouldn't be surprised. My dongle supposedly work up to 40m, 120 feet.

The phones being released in the near future already spec a bluetooth range of 100m. I don't think it will be long before the headsets follow this.

i saw 2years ago a company at cebit, that had a module for a pc that could make bluetooth go to 1km! the company is blue2, but i haven't seen it on the market yet, but from what i've read on the internet it works. imaging bluejacking somebody form 1km away

1km ....I don't want that coz you can lose your device easily

100m is already crazy if you use it for your headset and your handset

BTW with such slow speed to setup 3G service world wide (especially WCDMA) I think it will take sometime for Z1010 to appear...but what keep me wondering is....why don't they sell it to NTT FOMA first? Most FOMA phone now can't roam into GSM network if I am not mistaken.
