WHY does the P800 add a number received on a SMS as a "phone" number rather than "mobile" when creating a contact from the SMS?

It's a pain in the ass, especially when you want to send a SMS back to the same person later, it will not allow you because the number is stored as a "phone" number.

Anyone know if this has been fixed in the new firmware ?

No problem with that on my P800 you just touch "answer" on the screen and there it goes back to that number, do I understand well? regards.

I think the trick is to click on the drop down menu and reselect the number as mobile, (w) or (h) as appropriate. Be better if you could set up a preference to default to mobile (h) though I suppose.

That is what I am doing. It's just a pain that the phone doesn't default to "mobile h". Very few SMS or MMS messages come from non-mobile devices.
