i have just recently got a p800 and after executing the master reset after accidently installing all my numbers three times i now have one standard ringtone and a very basic phone.
to add insult thinking not a problem i will be able to upload all new ringtones etc i did not check the system requirements for the pc suite supplied with the phone. i am running windows 98 and have absolutely no way what so ever of connecting to my phone. short of paying a ridiculos price for ring tones etc i am stuffed. any one else running win 98 have this problem?? i spoke to se and the only answer they could give was there engineers were looking into it!!!!!!
has anybody out there any ideas on a temporary or permanent fix to my problem?? |

As i recall the requirements where windows Me, Xp, .net or 2000.
I have seen many posts about this issue but i never read then, so i don't know if it was resolved, try using the search

Wat r ur comps specs? Coz maybe u can upgrade ur os 2 xp! Datd set u bak arnd 300 pesos f ur frm d Phils,dats abt 5 sumthn dollars (US)

i am reluctant to upgrade my os seeing as i formatted my hard disk a month ago and have only just found the right drivers for my sound and graphics card. dont fancy going through all that again.

you can alwas use bluetooth or infrared to transfare files, also try to send the .sis files to your p800 and install it from there ( Application/ install)

Why not buy a usb memory stick reader? they are availble in most camera shops. |

good advice there, probably your best bet too.
just setup a folder on the card and use the reader to place the files there.. easy as pi  |

You dont need to upgrade to Xp or so, just upgrade to Windows Me, looks and and acts same as Win98, but with with few thousands of bug fixes, and the P800 will work |

1. Do not listen to this man .... if u where to upgrade .. go with XP ... dont not even touch ME ... worst OS out !!!!! Trust me on that please ....
2. if u dont want to update Windows OS then get a memorystick reader ... that is prob the best choice of action .... or use infa red or bluetooth(thats if ur pc has either) to send files via each other ....

get the usb memory stick reader or get windows 2000 then if u cant get 2000 get XP....
i personally like 2000 cause it works just like NT... XP's themes are too kiddy
