T68 uppgrade, how and when |

All Ericsson T68 terminals can be uppgradet to the T68i sw.
The upgrade takes place at a Ericsson Servicepoint. I guess that Sweden have 50-100. Take a look under "Support - Dealer locator" on your lokal SE webpage to find one near you, or call SE for a list of local Servicepoints.
The uppgrade is FREE from SonyEricsson, but som Ericsson Servicepoints may charge you for the time spent.
The sw should be out in a week or two.
The MCA-20 will work on all updated teminals. MCA-10 has never been intendet for the MMS terminals. It works on more or less all legacy terminals that can fit the plugg on MCA-10 except R310 and 2618.

Ok, I believe its time to write something about the MMS firmware upgrade. The good person here gave us useful info about the upgrade so all of should calm down. Of course stop interogating him, is not good. The info posted here is enough! Initially, I cannot understand all that panic! I mean, I am in esato every day for 2+ hours and I cannot read all messages posted only in General! Why is that for something which is not only obvious, but also 100% sure: is not foollish. They said that T68 is capable of MMS and we have to trust them. Some guys here also have the MMS firmware but in a beta version long time ago. I think one is Harleydog, correct me if I am wrong. Many times here we discussed this issue since its important and many serious memebers AND prommised that the new software is arriving. I don't know the exact day, but I believe by the end of March will be here.
Of course is a profitable organization and as such should design & produce new handsets and accessories every time they want to! Although this seems to be bad for us it isn't since we all have the opportunity to get better products in the future! T68i actually is not a new product. It the some with another cover. What you expect for to say? That it is the same with t68 but with new cover? That would be poor marketing. They promote it as a new product and they claim that it is the first MMS capable phone. They have a reason do to that in order to boost its sales. In reallity, it is not the first MMS phone.
Please, be patient... There is no reason for panic. Don't blame for that move. Its poor marketing and nothing else. We all know that and of course knows that.

couldnt agree with you more:) they just produced that t68i in order to show of that ney sonyericsson logo. after all it is such a great phone and sony wants to be a part of it. I'm pretty sure they'll give us what we want(MMS) as soon as things get rolling with the t68i. and the best part of it all is that we got ourselves a t68 with the ericsson logo; which means only one thing...we were among the first who had this techtoy.
