Operating System - WinXP Pro SP1
BUD - Ambicom BT2000-USB
Phone: SonyErricson T68i
Previous software installed:
Ambicom software/driver package 1.35 - Only managed to get the DUN to work...
Finally after 3 days, I got it to work with the Billionton driver that can be downloaded at
http://www.billionton.com.tw/extra/download.htm.
Billington driver info:
File name: USBBT02-B / CFBT02-B
Description: BTUSB
Version: 1.3.2.7
Here are the steps that I did to make it to work:
1.) Uninstalled the Ambicom driver and software.
2.) Uninstalled any SonyEricsson software.
3.) Clean WinXP registry.
4.) Restart the computer without plug in the BUD.
5.) After it booted up, installed the Billington driver.
6.) Almost the end of the installation, it will ask you to plug in your BUD.
7.) Plug in the BUD and it will detect it as Ericsson USB Bluetooth Device 1.2.
8.) After the installation, you have to go through a wizard to setup your BUD.
Just follow the instructions. It's pretty straight forward.
9.) You will come to the step where you have to search for Bluetooth device.
Turn your phone to discover mode before you press the discover search button on the computer.
10.) It will find your phone in second. Then put in the PIN to pair both the device.
11.) After successfully paring both the devices, you have to select what services you want
to assign to your phone. I select all services.
12.) Install the SonyEricsson Package 4 - http://wap.sonyericsson.com/emi_download/SynchSoftware/R4APackage4.exe
This pakage has almost all the tools for your phone.
13.) Restart the computer after the installation.
14.) Again, restart the computer after the installation with the BUD connected to the USB port.
15.) After the computer booted up, turn on the Bluetooth from the phone.
16.) Right click on the XTDConnect PC for Ericsson icon in the Taskbar -> Sychronize Outlook.
17.) A wizard pop up to add the phone and SIM card to the Phone Monitor Options located in Control Panel.
18.) After adding the phone, you can continue with the sychronization.

Man,
You are my hero! I just bought that Ambicom s**t couple a days ago and I've been trying to make it work for hours. I was doing things only with it's software, I couldn't make it synchronize with the XTNDC software. But after I searched the forum I saw that I can use the Billionton drivers to make this thing work as I want. But then I realized that that link you posted doesn't work. I needed like an hour to find them at billionton.ru (exact link)
http://www.billionton.ru/downloads/btw1.4.1.6.zip)
and another half an hour to install everything (again) and SYNCHRONIZE MY T610. God deamn, it was worth it! Now I can do everything, I just need to turn the BT on my phone and click "Synchronize Outlook".
Thanx again! |
