i have a belkin bt adapter, and using a t68i phone. i've finally got all the settings right to be able to sync with outlook. but, i don't want to leave bluetooth on constantly on my phone. i've set operation mode to automatic, but now the computer and the phone never connect. i've tried setting the computer to poll every 2 minutes for bluetooth devices (in the belkin config), but this doesn't do anything.
anyone figured this out, or have any ideas?? | |

When your phone is in Automatic bt mode it cannot accept connections, only initiate them. But you cannot initiate a sync from the phone, so you need to switch the mode...
I also have set bt to auto, when need to sync, I first put the phone in discoverable mode, then connect one of the serial ports. Sync soft starts automatically then (thats how I have set it up). After the sync I disconenct the serial port from bt neightborhood and the phone goes out of discoverable mode after 3 minutes.
