The much anticipated T68i could not have been absent. It recently appeared on the web, but almost everything is already known about it. After the great success of the T68, its evolution will be able to repeat the challenge seeing the considerable improvements made, especially from the software viewpoint. Hardware improvements are not lacking either, and we will examine them. Aside from the above product, absolute new items were the futuristic P800 Smartphone, the Z700, the Bluetooth accessories HBH-30 and HCB-30, and the PCMCIA GC75 card, along with the new CommuniCam MCA-20, created ad hoc for the T68i.
Starting from the last, it confirmed everything we knew except for the addition of a WAP microbrowser in version 2.0. Therefore it provides MMS, triband, Bluetooth, GPRS, HSCSD, and mail management through POP3, IMAP4 and SMTP protocols. It has the usual 510 names in the phone book plus those on the SIM card which are manageable from the telephone, an IrDA port and dimensions of 100 x 48 x 20 mm with a weight of 84 grams. The only differences from the “old” T68 are: the aesthetics of the speaker, blue backlighting for the keyboard, improvement of the YES and NO buttons on the keyboard, which are now less shaky than before. The speed of the menu and SMS composition (a grave error in the T68) is much improved. The software, as you know, has been considerably updated, but you could have the same on the T68 for free (!!!) in about a month or so. The price has not been revealed, but it will certainly be around 650 euros. We only need to wait for the end of March.

Just curious, since t68i is going to release, and the price of our phone will drop, should we sell our phone before the price drops?

There won't be any price-drop. They're not gonna kick their own new T68i in the butt by selling a cuter phone with the same stuff in it for less, are they? would be kinda mad...
well.
uh...
ok, they're gonna do it... |

Hey, i really cant stand this, we bought this phone and it is expensive, and it is beta! That is really bad to consumers like us, if this hardware cases still continue, might as well i sent letter to THE ARTICLES telling that SE is a company that trick us

If the T68 with the software upgrade has the same functionality as the T68i then I will be pleased because I prefer the look of the T68 to the T68i |

I don’t think that it has blue leds, I think that the keys of the keyboard are bleu. Maybe you can switch the keyboard (same size) and you have blue keys on your T68M. |

Sure, I prefere the "classic" T68 more than a new one T68i

From someone who has taken their T68 apart:
The color of the key backlighting is from the LEDs, not the keys. My T68m had four ORANGE LEDs to illuminate the keys. My guess is that they have been replaced by blue LEDs in the T68i.
Btw, I didn't just take it apart for fun, it was dropped into a swimming pool and I wanted to assure that it was completely dried out inside. Everything still works, but the backlighting on the display doesn't turn all the way off when the phone is in standby, it is very faintly lit. It seems to have affected my battery life only slightly though. I think it survived relatively well for being submerged under 3 meters of water for about 2 minutes. |

www.mphone.co.uk are taking pre-orders for the T68i in which they estimate delivery in May!
I would not regard that as a reliable estimate. Mphone are dealers that either estimate themselves or receive info from the distributors e.g Data Select UK. Distributors do not know when stocks will arive accurately. Factory dispatch dates and distributor delivery dates may vary a lot due to slow shipping by sea etc...
My guess is that first T68i shipments will be receieved in the UK my end of march! We will see.
Prices of the T68i at initial launch, will be higher than the current T68m! T68i is a new product and will be at a higher price like the T68m at launch due to intertemporal price discrimination. Prices should be around 10-15% initially higher than current T68m prices.
But i do think T68i prices will fall much faster and more as SE will probably learn from excess demand condition that the T68m exhibited and will supply f**k loads of T68i that should satisfy all the eurozone demand unlike T68m supplies now!
