No new phones, and no new accesories either. This to make our T68 the best phone forever, and keep our accesories state of the art.

This seems to be the idea of some people in this forum. They are furios with SE - because they dare to make better phones!
I can understand that there is frustration about this upgrade. We have waited a while, but now it's coming soon.
But that it's a deception from SE to improve thier products - that's ridiculous.

Remember last CeBIT? Nokia launched a phone called the 3330. "What's the difference?", people asked. "It has wap", Nokia responded. No-one yelled at Nokia, not even the guys having bought a new 3310 the day before. No upgrade of the 3310 was ever offered.

I think we should accept that new products will accure on the market. It's natural.
Maybe somebody thinks that SE replaces thier models to often, but that's natural as well. Ericsson had to replace thier portfolio to keep some cutomers, and when joint with Sony, they need another brand new portfolio.

I think the T68 is great. Not perfect, 'cause no phone can be, but still great. When the upgrade comes, it will be even better.

I didn't mean to offend anybody by writing this - I'm just hoping you will give SE a chance.

Hello???? Was the 3330 launched 4 months after the 3310? Was the 3310 PROMISED to be with WAP, but Nokia f*ck up and just put it in the 3330?
lied to us, they made out T68m to be THE phone of the future, but didn't advertise and then released the T68i with everything they promissed us...

Disappointed....

Alright, I'll give you that. Nokia didn't promise wap on the 3310.
Ericsson promised MMS on the T68. We are getting MMS on our T68. So...what's the problem? That SE claims T68i to be the first MMS phone? It is, it's gonna come a few days before the upgrade. Can't you just wait a little longer on the upgrade, then you'll have everything ericsson promised. Or do you just want to be angry?

arootytje: You are one strange guy. Take a cool coke out of the fridge, sit back and relax!

No one said, up to now, that there is no way to make your little T68m have the promised MMS/Wap2.0/Picture Phonebook.

Wait some days until the SW update to your T68 will be out, update your T68m and live well and prosper!

Only if it proves that its NOT POSSIBLE to update your phone, and ONLY then, you might have a right to act as stupid as you do at the moment and yell around.

cheers,

Theyīre for releasing the MMS software in some weeks. And then the T68m will become a T68i.

And ofcourse canīt have a Ericsson model as one the of top models. Because SONY wants to gain something on the T68 too.

And if the T68 is selling very good why donīt let it build up the brand for them.

Someone and Hymie---->

I don't think that I'm the only one a little pissed off... most of the people on this site are looking for a new phone...
Listen, I'm pissed off at the fact that used to be crap and now they've won over these clients, thanks to the t68, they're going to shit in their face by doing the dirty on them...

You just don't do that...

I don't know, obviously we see things differently...

Well spoken, I agree with u. I can see frustration but I can't see anger towards

If doesnt't improve the phones all the time, well then our beloved T68 would be the last phone they make

I'm sorry, but I really can't figure out what you mean. How's SE "shitting us in our faces", or however you described it?

I reckon givin' us the upgrade, which they will do soon, discharges any vowes made by Ericsson.

The old T68 is almost 6 month old now. SE has done right to upgrade it. A mobile telephon is a advance technology, like Computers. In 6 month they get old and must be upgraded: I canīt understand why some of you getīs angry, the phone you has is the same as when you bought it.

If they had change the design and the phone nummber to something else like T70 then no one should argued about it. Iīm happy that they keept the design from the old T68 itīs the coolest design ever.

SonyEricsson i owned 50% Ericsson 50% SONY. The T68m was developed by Ericsson and not SONY.

If the SonyEricsson wasnīt here there wouldnīt be any T68i, and the T68m would be selling for some more years. But, now when SONY is in the picture and they wants to do one thing Ericsson maybe just have to say ok.

I thinkg that if we are satisfied with our T68mīs why get this angry. Does the T68i make our T68mīs that bad. And now when we will get the MMS upgrade with lots of stuff why argu.

Like Yellow-Hollow said, T68m was going to be the first with MMS and everything.

Also: I don't appreciate the way they tried to keep it all hush-hush..., just so they could quickly get rid of the last T68m's to some suckers who didn't know the T68i would be released....

If you check ANY OTHER manufactures site, you'll see the 'coming soon' phones on the site, so you know to wait...

didn't do this, they just waited until they'd sold enough and then released it.
I sent several emails with PICTURES of the T68i and I got replies stating the phone DIDN'T EXIST !!!!!! If you don't think are liars then someTHING is obviously wrong with someONE!!!

I hope you can try and see my point of view now!

C U!

Get a picture of a not yet announced Nokia, send them the picture and demand a statement. Their response won't be "that's the new _ _ _ _-phone, featuring bla bla...", it's gonna be "doesn't excist".

They have to release the phone sometime. It's just a bonus that it can be launced on the market immedietly.

So, since the T68m will be the 2nd MMS-phone, upgraded just days after the realse of the 1st, you reason that SE has lied. That's strange...

OK!

I agree totaly with you but I just want to say some reasons why they maybe done this to us.

The T20s and the T20e is an other example. T20e was announced att Cebit last year.
