it seems that some phones are really full of problems for some people yet others work perfectly fine. that seems odd and scary since when u buy one, u wont really know if u getting a "good" one or a "bad" one.

So what i wanted to ask was, is there anyone in this board from the philippines? hows the reliability of the p800 there? cuz thats where im goin to get mine. full of problems? or fine? thankz

Hi Ersh,

If you are in the philipines already then fine - go for it. You may be one of the lucky ones.

I would state however that anyone who hopes to buy a P800 during an overseas trip be sure that it works before they leave for home.

I know I would be very annoyed if I managed to save a few $ but had problems getting support at home.

Regards

Mike

yeah of course. but i live there actually. im just in canada now for school. and my friend owns a cell phone store so he helps me out and if theres anything wrong, he'll fix it for me for free. but u know, i dont wanna spend hella money on something and have it keep having problems. its a hassle to keep goin back to get it fixed. so yeah, thats why im wondering on the reliability of the p800 back there. so many mixed reviews here, its sometimes hard to tell whether this phone has problems or is perfect.

sup pare!
i can tell ya after having two p800's, that there is a difference in certain models. both of them have the most recent software, but my first one had problems with the camera. it was taking very poor photographs and constantly crashing. My new one however doesnt have any problems with the camera and runs quite smoothly, but sometimes the jog dial isnt as responsive when you press upwards. Also when i bought the phone it was completely dust free...but if you look carefully, and i mean carefully without blinking in clear light there are two very tiny dust specs that managed to get in. dont know how that happened...maybe after rigurous and obsessive cleaning to get the damn brando on! impossible to put on without dust!

good luck on your quest to get one. i have to say i was quite disappointed at first especially as it only has 4,096 colours, but after putting a couple nice wallpapers of hunnies and installing some games....it was all good and worth every penny! remember though..i would recommend you playing with it when you buy it to check everything is in order!

Hi ewokard,
What’s the difference between your P800 phones? Place and date of manufacture, Hardware revision...etc any thing will be helpful.
For more info on reading the phone label under the battery please see the FCC pdf file on ID Label/Location Info (File size 459 KB):
