I believe it uses the same setting as for ringtones...

No itīs not. The alarm volume is very weak. It is very difficult to hear it outdoors.

D volume cant be changed. But you can try and edit the alarm signal itself. Go 2my sounds and edit your alarm from there. Its a bit tedious but it should work!

If you set a wav file as the alarm, it will play it a full volume... and that can be loud!

thanks for your replays.
I think that itīs very strange that SonyEricsson forgot to include a setting to turn up/down the level of alarm volume! Itīs almost impossible to hear the alarm signal if you put the phone in your pocket!!!!!

I have my alarm set to the default tone and this volume is adjustable by increasing the 'media' volume which is changed by clicking the speaker icon on the task bar. Loudest volume was still a bit too low IMO.

Funny...
I always thought it was based on the ringer volume and sometimes turn up the ringer volume before I sleep if I need to get up early

Last night I was testing it, I also thought the ringer volume would change the alarm volume but it was the speaker volume on the task bar that did.
Anyone know how to change the voicemail alert sound?

The trick I think is too untick the 'increasing ring' setting in sounds and alerts in the call peference. I had low volume problems until I unticked that. Now it sounds pretty loud

hmm my alarm sounds are always increasing rings...very annoying i look ins "Sounds and Alerts" but i have already unchecked the box, and yet the alarm is STILL an increasing alarm. Is there a different place i have to go that im not finding to uncheck THAT box or is the alarm just always an increasing alert?
