As i have searched the site, many people are just assuming that the P800 will soon support video (and hopefully with sound).. Is there any hope that this would be soon? If so would it support sound as well?

dont u consider the MP4 player a video player? or maybe u want a DVD player built in?

Sorry... I meant that it could RECORD VIDEO (like the Nokia 3650)!

well nokia have made a new firmware update (out now) for the 3650 so it can record video + sound at the same time

i dont know if the P800 even has its own video recorder out yet

Video APIs are being released in a week or 2. Expect the Sw within a month.

if u remember symbian only just let the camara api's out like 2 weeks ago so it could be upto 2 months before we see anything that works well

the video api's are the codes to use the camara and so if u can capture pictures with a programe useing the api's u can make a video recorder to use the camara api's ok

An API is like a "socket"... Since Symbian and SE released the camera's API, programmers can now develop "plugs" as they now have access to the camera.
